Welcome to Starship Sunday, presenting a new spaceframe for the Star Trek Adventures roleplaying game, filling in some gaps until official material can be released.
Continuing out monthly theme of Star Trek Online month, we’re detailing ship created for that Free 2 Play MMO. This month is the Presidio-class carrier. I opted for this design because another carrier seemed interesting, and different from other ships.
Created following Season 10, the Presidio was one of three Starfleet command battlecruisers, along with the Concorde and Geneva classes. The Presidio was the tactical variant. There would likely only be a couple of these battleships, given Starfleet’s aversion to ships of war. These ships proved necessary given the Alpha and Beta Quadrants found themselves being invaded. While this war happened fairly quickly in the game, it could be drawn out in a campaign. Or a campaign could be set following the war, with Starfleet trying to find a new purpose for these warships.
