Commander “Jett” Reno

Hey there! My name is Leis Gelwasser, thank you for taking the time to check this out! I wrote this on Saturday February 2nd, before Jett’s second appearance in episode 4 of season 2 Star Trek Discovery. As such, this is only really based off her brief appearances in the episode “Brother” (available for free on YouTube). Information might come out that contradicts this, and if it does I’ll try to send an updated sheet. I can now understand why Modiphius isn’t releasing much Discovery content, it’s hard to do it for a show that’s still going on!

I’ve been watching Star Trek since middle school, and playing RPGs since around the same time. My mom rented the DVDs of the original series for Blockbuster, and the salt vampires scared the wits out of that little twelve-year-old. Since then, I’ve grown, and my relationship to Trek has grown as well. Jadzia Dax helped me figure out my gender identity, Troi lead me to start emotionally connecting to the people in my life.

RPGs helped me do things I couldn’t see myself doing ordinarily, like being a girl. I started with Dungeons & Dragons 4th edition games, just my brother and I. I eventually moved onto games like Stars Without Number. Star Trek it already entrenched my brain in sci-fi, and when Star Trek Adventures released, I hopped on it.

Again, I want to thank you for reading this and the staff of Continuing Mission for publishing it. If it’s well-received, I might create an entire Discovery player character set, like Modiphius did for Deep Space Nine, The Next Generation.
