Rom is Quark’s brother. Although he believes himself not to have the lobes for business, he has an extraordinary ability to fix things and bypass locks. He’s not afraid to buck Ferengi traditions, and once started a *gasp* union. He then quit the bar and joined the Bajoran engineering crew aboard Deep Space Nine, becoming a Diagnostic and Repair Technician. He was then promoted to Maintenance Engineer, First Class. He’s romantically involved with Leeta, and has a son Nog from a previous marriage. In 2375, he becomes the Grand Nagus.
