The Final Frontiersmen – Review and Thoughts of Star Trek Adventures

Submitted by Bill Barbato

I have been running Star Trek Adventures as a GM for over two years though, admittedly, not with any consistent scheduling.  The reason for this, which I have talked about in earlier articles here on Continuing Mission, is that my online group is made up of working professionals with families spread out over 4 continents and 5 countries. That means we’re a very patient group who waits for days that work best for the majority of the party.

That also means that I have a lot of downtime between our episodes.  And if there’s one thing I like to do just as much as play Star Trek, it’s talk about Star Trek.  So, to help me accomplish this task, I created a (very casual) YouTube channel to allow me to talk about the things I like and, hopefully, interact with fellow fans.  In particular, I want to talk about Star Trek Adventures and try to get more and more people interested in this great game.

For that reason, I created an overview video about the game to both introduce what it is (and what it isn’t) as well as share my own personal feelings on it.  With any luck, someone out there will find it useful and decide to give the game a try for themselves.  The more people who play the game, the more we all benefit.

This is the first in a planned series of videos about Star Trek Adventures. I’d be grateful to hear from my fellow STA players what your own thoughts are on the game and what you like the most about it.  Please feel free to check out the video when you have some spare time and have exhausted every other outlet for entertaining yourself, including watching grass grow.

Continuing Mission has done so much to support STA that Modiphius wants to give some love back, and so we are pleased to offer this discount code, CMISSION01, which is a 10% off coupon for the STA Starter Set and usable on both the Modiphius UK site and the Modiphius US site.
