Welcome to Starship Sunday, presenting a new spaceframe for the Star Trek Adventures roleplaying game, filling in some gaps until official material can be released.
This week is the Tuffli and Groumall freighters, continuing the detailing of civilian ships for groups that are not playing Starfleet officers.
This is a more rough and tumble freighter, found in the Alpha quadrant and not designed by Starfleet. While these might be seen in Federation space, they’re not a Federation design and the crew might be more mixed. As the ship might not be owned and operated by Federation citizens, money can be more of a driving factor for the crew (and the campaign). This is a good ship for people wanting to use the Star Trek setting to tell very different stories, with more traditional and selfish motives from their protagonists. As there are Cardassian military variants of this freighter, it might also see use by pirates, who take advantage of its inoffensive appearance to get closer to targets before striking.
