Campaigns Beyond is a new feature at Continuing Mission, where we focus on a region of the Star Trek universe and provide a sample campaign set there, expanding on the concept presented in our article Sargon And Beyond: The ‘Missions Beyond’ Campaign but updated and on a grander scale. The map has a hex-grid (where one hex is approximately eight light years from side to side) for ease of reference. Each campaign will include a list of published adventures (either from Modiphius, Continuing Mission, or other homebrew missions) that you can run. Some are placed in designated hexes, others are free for you to insert as you wish. Suggested Eras are presented, but you may adapt the missions as needed. All Campaigns Beyond settings and maps will be compatible with each other, campaign concept permitting. Adapt these as you wish and make the campaign your own!

For GMs who want to run the Shackleton Expanse adventures in the 2260s, we have imposed a grid on the relevant region of The Shackleton Expanse for you to more easily track where your adventures take place. Distant Worlds encompasses a region of unexplored space in the Beta Quadrant in the 2260s. Some adventures are found in the The Shackleton Expanse Campaign Guide for this region. Note that Klingon Space did not extend as far as themap shows; hexes 2115, 2116 and 2216 are not yet part of Klingon territory. The 2200s Tilikaal Saga and Mission Briefs are listed but not tied to particular locations; see the Campaign Guide for notes on play order. The homebase for exploration into this region is Federation Outpost MZ5. Additional homebrewed TOS-era missions are provided to extend the material in the Shackleton Expanse Campaign Guide may be set where desired in this region.

Unlike our previous campaign supplements, we have not designated specific hexes for each mission, as the play order of the missions (and what year it is) may prove important if you are following the direction of the Shackleton Expanse Campaign Guide. Simply designate a hex when you decide to play the relevant mission. There are also other free TOS era missions from both our site and elsewhere (found through our Adventures Index).
