Let’s look at a sample ship for 2E that uses the 1E Utopia Planitia Sourcebook stats. The U.S.S. Erebus (NCC-93048) is a New Orleans class starship that you may use it in your own campaign. I’m flying it in my Star Trek Online game. Please feel free to tweak its background, stats, and crew as fits your vision. I took the spaceframe from Utopia Planitia and built the ship with the 2E method, adding Starship Talents and a Service Record.

The Mission Profile is a Technical Testbed from the STA 2e Game Toolkit, with the Service record of Dependable Workhorse. I’m using a default year of 2381, so there is 1 refit where Structure is increased.
