With 2e taking centre stage, the 2E version of the Featured Starship series is still designed so that you can pick up the sheet and start playing right away.

Here is a Walker-class starship, the U.S.S. Roc (NCC-1245). It’s in service in 2259, ready for Strange New Worlds adventures as an alternative to the Constitution-class. It’s an old ship, having been in service since 2195 and refitted many times over, but it’s a reliable ship that had seen service in the recent Federation-Klingon War. A Pathfinder and Reconnaissance Operations ship, it is ready to seek out new worlds and civilizations in the far reaches of space.

The Walker-class is featured in the STA 2e Game Toolkit.

We will designate the U.S.S. Roc as one of our site’s demo ships, ready to fly into exploration in the Taurus Reach, and add some crew who serve aboard.

EDIT: Corrected weapon damage.

  1. “Reliable” isn’t a Special Rule on page 225, in fact I cannot find it anywhere in the core rulebook or the GM Toolkit. Does it function like “Rugged Design?”

    1. It’s under SERVICE RECORD: DEPENDABLE WORKHORSE, page 216. I’ll update the reference later tonight. Thanks for catching that!

      1. Ohh, I see that now, thank you. The search function failed me!

  2. When i saw the name Roc, my brain immediately went to ‘Rock Lobster!’
Whoever uses this ship must have a space lobster episode.
