Snowdon: The Shackleton Expanse, a new Star Trek fan audio drama from Thin Air Productions, is now casting voice actors for its first season.

Set in 2381, the series follows the USS Snowdon, an Akira-class ship refitted for science, as she charts the unmapped Shackleton Expanse — and searches for her lost sister ship, the USS Ben Nevis. Season 1 comprises ten 45–60 minute episodes with full sound design and original music, premiering in early 2027 on Apple Podcasts and other podcast apps. All ten scripts are complete, and a second season is already in development.

The production is casting seven leads (including an Andorian captain, a Bajoran, a Trill, and a Tellarite), the season’s main antagonist, and a supporting ensemble. All recording is remote; auditionees need a USB or XLR microphone, headphones, and a quiet room.

Auditions are open now through December 14, 2026, and every audition will receive a reply by December 31.
