The Zakdorn appeared in Star Trek: The Next Generation. They are Federation members, and renowned for their strategic genius. Their reputation is such that other species dare not engage them in battle. They are known to be experts in Strategema and other games, and sometimes conduct war game exercises for the Federation. Other members of their species also work in administration, such as Federation shipyards, and rarely make mistakes. However, due to this, the Zakdorn are condescending to other species, and are over-confident.
