Sebastian Opper is back.

A few weeks ago I shared his Romulan War Campaign Guide — a fan-made love letter to the Enterprise era, with lore, ships, factions, and two mini-campaigns (Starfleet and Romulan).

Now he’s finished the follow-up: The Romulan War Tactical Campaign Add-on for Star Trek Adventures 2nd Edition. And it’s a different beast entirely.

Where the Campaign Guide puts you on the bridge, the Tactical Add-on puts you in the admiral’s chair. You play the war (2156–2160) as an admiral — Coalition or Romulan Star Empire — running the whole war effort: resources, supply lines, patrols, ship building, and sending your forces into what Sebastian cheerfully calls an utterly brutal fight.

In his words, it’s “a different approach to Star Trek Adventures… a little bit more board gamey,” modeled on the official Klingon-Federation War Tactical Campaign supplement. The add-on maps the war in phases — Ghost Signals, the War of Attrition, the Final Days, the Aftermath — with tactical, intelligence, and logistics flashpoints to fight over and a system for resolving each one.

It’s a free fan work, compatible with his Campaign Guide. Full PDF attached below.

Ever run a campaign at the admiral level — the whole war, not one ship? Tell me about it in the comments.
