Featured Crew: Jake Sisko

Jake Sisko is the son of Benjamin Sisko and Jennifer Sisko. When he first arrived on Deep Space Nine, he was always getting into trouble with Nog. However, his drive to become a writer won out, and he began a career in journalism and fiction writing.

The NPC version is for an older Jake Sisko from the episode, “The Visitor“, who abandoned writing to study subspace theory in order to save his father from an anomaly. Although that timeline no longer exists, a similar version of an older Jake Sisko might exist in your campaign. Feel free to substitute his Subspace Theory Focus to fit whatever path he has chosen in your timeline.

Featured Crew articles spotlight familiar characters not currently covered by official stats. Each article will typically feature a Major NPC version of the character, as well as a playable Main Character version (Core Rulebook compliant, or with fan creations here) that you can hand out to a player for immediate play (such as for a demo or convention game).

  1. Jake is the kind of canonical character I could see myself dropping into a game. A good character to create connections to established setting and events, but not so influential or skilled as to overshadow the players.

    1. He does occupy that sweet spot that lets you use him freely. I’d include Captain Christopher Pike, Dr. Leah Brahms, and Dr. Pulaski in that spot as well… all detailed here on the site!
