Doctor Gillian Taylor is a human cetacean biologist from the 20th century. She assisted Kirk and his crew when they went back in time to bring whales to the future. Gillian was able to convince them to bring her to the 23rd century as well, as there would be no experts on whales in 2286. She found an assignment aboard a science vessel.
