Once again, a Star Trek Adventures Super-Fan has added to the wealth of adventures available to Gamemasters and Players. Charles Jinkins made some mission briefs and donated them to our site. He even added some cool character pics to go with the stories, all made on Star Trek Online!
Let’s let Charles tell us about himself then we will get you to the goodies.
“I think it is safe to say I’m a lifelong Sci-Fi fan (Star Trek, Star Wars, Firefly, etc.) I got into Tabletop RPGs during my school years mostly D&D, Vampire the Masquerade and Star Wars. I originally dabbled in Star Trek TTRPGs with the CODA system by Decipher, but only with Modiphius’ 2d20 system have I really dived in.
“I’d never consider myself particularly original from a creation standpoint. Mostly, I drag weird half formed ideas from my brain and try to coax them into something half decent, bodging all the way!
“The Mission Briefs I am working on come from a concept I have been working on for a while, what I call the “Runabout Chronicles” in my head. The base concept is a series of missions that are designed purely around a couple of Senior Officers in a Runabout/Shuttle, away from the main ship (a worryingly common occurrence in Star Trek it seems!). However, while I continue to work on developing that concept, I’m always thinking of missions that may suit it, so have taken to writing them out as I go along.
I intend to make more, each with a Spotlight on a different role. I only hope they can be of some help to any Game Masters/Storytellers out there!”
