Welcome to Starship Sunday, presenting a new spaceframe for the Star Trek Adventures roleplaying game, filling in some gaps until official material can be released.

Wrapping up the month of non-Starfleet Federation ships is the Caitian Shikaris. This is a Star Trek Online original, but it looks distinct and unlike Vulcan or Andorian ships. And it provides an opportunity to detail a non-traditional species and give some more backstory.

This ship could be used by Caitians during a story set during their first contact, or ships contracted out from the Caitians for the war with the Talarians, or used to patrol Tholian space. A surplussed Caitian ship could be used by pirates or smugglers, who can take advantage of its stealth capabilities. During the Dominion War, as Starfleet suffers heavy losses, they might pull a few allied ships out of drydock for specialty missions. A Shikaris might serve well as a spy ship, not having a familiar profile to the Jem’Hadar while also being harder to detect.
